Commitment

Developing our professional status. Making a public contribution.

Getting involved from the start

We are among the founder members of the local Aschaffenburg group of the BDÜ, a forum for the exchange of information and ideas within the professional association. From 1995 to 2002 Norma Keßler headed the group, which now numbers 20 regular members.

Taking responsibility

From 2006 to 2012 Norma Keßler was a member of the board of the Bavarian Regional Association of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ) and from 2009 to 2015 she was a board member of the national BDÜ, with responsibility for public relations in both capacities.

Passing the baton to future professionals

As part of her official activities in the professional association Norma Keßler lectures on entering the profession and other specialist topics and publishes in the relevant media. From 2012 – 2014 Martina Wieser participated in the mentoring programme of the VKD, the Association of Conference Interpreters, and helped a young colleague to start her career.

Shaping the profession and setting the standards.
